Almost Stepped On A Snake!

I almost stepped on a snake earlier tonight! I was walking out the door, when I stepped down the little guy was about 5 inches from my right foot. Thank god I was wearing flip flops, haha. Anyways, here’s the picture of the snake. Maybe you can help me identify it.

A guy at work told me that this looked like a Gopher snake. Just thought I would add a little blurb, in case someone used my picture to identify a snake that they found. =)

Definitely a gopher snake. Rodent eating machines. Awesome.
